We are experiencing internet networking issues, impacting all external network traffic.
Initial analysis points towards a DDoS attack from the internet ; investigating further.
20:12 DDoS attack seems to have stopped. We suspended our counter-measures ; waiting for response from UGent.
14:20 Our observations confirm that IRC network infrastructure is subject to a DDoS attack, with currently several hunderds to thousands of external/hostile hosts involved. Our countermeasures are holding up for the moment ; UGent DICT will be contacted to discuss additional interventions..
