Firewall #00 Scheduled intervention : Firewall restart

Estimated timeframe : 14:30-14:35

Actual timeframe : 14:41-14:45

Objective

We are observing network spikes and delays on the departmental firewall traffic, resulting in detoriated networking services. Restarting the firewall will clear the IRQ queue, and ameliorate networking services.

Actions

  • restart firewall

Impact

  • During the restart, most networked services will not be available.
